Using Text Replacement on iPhone

How To Set-Up Abbreviations for Common Text Phrases and Save Keystrokes.

Text Replacement

You probably find it tiring to type in your email address or phone number repeatedly on your iPhone. Although dictation is a decent way to speed these up, there’s an even faster way: Text Replacement.

For example, instead of typing my email address, I just type two @ symbols and Text Replacement does the rest. Same for my phone number and many common phrases.

To set-up Text Replacement, go to Settings/General/Keyboard/Text Replacement. You’ll see some default abbreviations and phrases already set up. Now, add your own.

And if you have iCloud Drive turned on, your Text Replacements will synchronize with your Mac and/or iPad.
