Changing the Search Engine in Safari

Choose Your Default Search Engine in Safari for Mac

Tired of “Googling” for information? Or have you recently been reading about DuckDuckGo? Or do you just want a change of pace in your search engine?

It’s easy to change the default search engine (which is Google) in Safari on your Mac.

  1. Under the Safari menu choose Preferences (or Command+,).
  2. Click the Search icon.
  3. Then click the drop down menu next to “Search engine:”
  4. Pick from among:
    1. Google
    2. Yahoo
    3. Bing
    4. DuckDuckGo
